Housed in the original lumber office of Mossom Boyd, the Museum overlooks the first lock built on the Trent-Severn Waterway. The museum contains artifacts and information regarding how the Bobcaygeon/Kawarthas area was influenced by Mossom Boyd and his farming and lumber companies. Mossom Boyd formed one of the three largest lumber companies in Ontario at the time, and his family continued it, thus greatly contributing to the economy of the area. Several special events are held at the museum throughout the year, including two antiques and collectibles sales, a Living History from Jul to Aug, as well as art shows in the Boyd Gallery. Open weekends in May, Jun. and Sept. and daily Jul and Aug (10am to 4pm). Address: 21 Canal St. East Bobcaygeon ON CAN K0M 1A0
